Three Types of
Thermometers are Used in Testing Laboratories 

1-Partial immersion Thermometers
is Calibrated to be partially
immersed, to a depth of 76 mm (75 for ISO)

2-Total immersion Thermometers
must be immersed to the same level as
the temperature reading.

3-Complete
immersion Very rarely
used. this type of thermometer is completely immersed in the liquid.
